Financial Assistance for Rangers when Special Needs are Not Covered
Thanks to the support of our donors, the Sua Sponte Foundation is able to provide the families of wounded or fallen Rangers with financial assistance for any special needs that may not be covered by the government or traditional channels. These can be medical, travel or logistics related. When a tragedy occurs, once notified, Sua Sponte Foundation members can be on the ground providing financial and logistical assistance within hours. Among the many examples of financial assistance provided by the Sua Sponte Foundation is the ability for additional family members and care givers to accompany Gold Star Families while traveling during times of crisis.
In addition to assisting with medical expenses, the Sua Sponte Foundation has provided oversight and financial backing necessary for a Ranger’s home to be modified and adapted for wheelchair use after being wounded in combat. Renovation of wounded Rangers’ homes to meet their unique requirements and assist in their recovery is just one of the many ways your donations can help.
As well, your donations have allowed the Sua Sponte Foundation to provide the necessary financial support to support spouses to accompany their Ranger husbands when traveling out of state to receive a higher level of medical care.
For those Gold Star families who have lost a loved one in military service, your generous funding has allowed the Sua Sponte Foundation to help with travel and funeral expenses beyond what is provided by the government.
